Dance Date, alas no pictures

I have been waiting to post this blog in hopes the picture would show up in my email as proof, but 2 weeks and no picture so here goes. On Friday February 27th, our stake had a dance for the adults with a live band and everything. I thought this would be fun especially when our Valentine's Day got ruined by Brad's work schedule. Now any of you who know my husband know that he would rather have a root canal than go dancing. My wonderful husband also loves me very much and humors my whims as long as I don't go overboard. So we went to the dance. I was all excited for the much advertised floor show, which alas turned out to be two USU students singing show tunes that they didn't really know the words to. Brad actually danced with me once, I think the pain was muted by the fact that he could tell how happy it made me. We also got brownie sundaes out of the deal so it wasn't a complete loss. They even had a girl there taking dance pictures, with a backdrop and everything, who was supposed to email the pictures to us, but alas no picture has arrived. You will all just have to imagine how adorable we looked and the the look of long suffering patience on Brad's face. Needless to say I have a wonderful husband, who spoils me just enough.

Comfort Food & Springtime in the Rockies

A few weeks ago my niece McKenna put the recipe for a chicken pot pie on her blog. The pictures looked so yummy I just had to try it. I am happy to report that the taste lived up to the yummy pictures. Here are the pictures of my domestic efforts.

I think though that the next time I make this I will make it in a 9x13 pan instead of a pie pan. There is just so much filling that it made serving a bit of a challenge.

I think I jinxed the weather, I was being so excited yesterday because almost all of the snow had melted. The sight I was not expecting to see when I got up was my husband coming home from the graveyard shift covered in snow. Evidently it had been snowing all night, and then it proceeded to snow all day as well. So I thought I would treat you all to some pictures of "spring" weather in the rockie mountains.

This is a picture of the snow that has accumulated on top of the hot tub. In case you can't read the numbers on the tape measure that is 13 inches.
